Latest Updates from Our Project:

Say hello to Oliver!

Work in Progress
Work in Progress

He's not yet fully grown (aka painted), but we received a Work In Progress from our painter Trey Barnett and couldn't help but share it with you.

We commissioned Trey to paint Oliver for us as we felt nothing could capture the spirit of the novel and Victorian era like a genuine oil painting. Trey draws inspiration from the famed Victoria portrait painter John Singer Sargent. We can't wait to see the final painting, which is now listed for sale in the Kickstarter! Trey Barnett is an independent painter from Berkeley, California.

The sneak peek at the top also includes a tiny glimpse of the goldleaf figures we're working on with another artist we'll introduce soon. These are figures of The Artful Dodger and Mr. Bumble that will be featured on the cover with a gold coat. We're also experimenting with a green tint cover to help communicate the lemon tea flavor better and to differentiate it from The Picture of Earl Grey.

We're now less than 15% away from our minimum goal!

Warm wishes,

Jorgen, Johnny & Mitch

Full steam ahead!

Dear Lovely Backers ,

Woot Woooooot... ! The NovelTea Pot is sure steaming now, with over 500 backers - Which brings us to 70%!

We couldn't be more excited about the outpour of your support :) Thank you everyone for continuing to share the project! Remember; if you have a blog and mention us; let us know so we can add you to our list in the Kickstarter.

Oliver Twist Update

If you head to the Kickstarter now you can get a glimpse of the current sketch of our take on the Oliver Lemon Twist cover. We're experimenting with a different color for the cover though to better reflect the flavor of the tea, and expect to see major changes to the actual design of the cover in the coming weeks. The cover art will most likely change to green and the elements will become more finished. And as always you can suggest moTeafs in the comments below and in social media.

Calamityware thanks!

And finally; A TIN of thanks should go to the terribly talented Don Moyer and the many of his Calamityware supporters who did us the great and kind favor of adding their backing to our project this week.

Let the pun continue!

almost 8 years ago – Mon, Jul 11, 2016 at 09:18:56 PM

What a weekend!

We've reached over $20,000 thanks to 300 backers. You guys are incredible!

This is TWICE as fast as last years campaign!

And it's only thanks to supporters like you sharing the campaign with friends and posting about us.

To celebrate we've teamed up with one of our original backers, Jenni King, to host a giveaway of one of our three original tins on YouTube. Check out her YouTube channel below to find out more about the contest and to view the amazing videos she's made about our tins!

Visit Jenni King's Youtube Channel

We also sent her a sample of 'Pride and Peppermint'. Watch the video for her description of what the new blend is like.

Explore Jenni's channel to find more videos on our tins, or just scroll down to the end of our Kickstarter. We featured her videos there because they were awesome!

New book store backer

We're also super excited to announce that a new retail store, Bob's Beach Books, in Lincoln City, Oregon have opted in for the retail special! They plan to bundle the tins together with the book it was inspired by. What an incredible idea!
